In 2008 the club organised a coach trip to the Classic Car Show at the NEC, Birmingham. Whilst there, our then Chairman Digger Brodrick made enquiries as to how clubs could exhibit at the show - it transpired that it was a bit of a lottery. You applied early in the year and if successful, you were invited to attend that year's show and allocated a space. We applied and were invited to attend the 2009 show and subsequently the next nine events! 

 

Having been accepted, the reality of the logistics of getting vehicles and exhibitors to the show soon became apparent. Trailers were borrowed, tow cars/drivers coerced and accommodation booked. It was decided from the outset that those attending would fund themselves so there would be no cost to the club other than for promotional material.
