London to Brighton Veteran Car Run
4th November 2018
This year's run was the 122nd London to Brighton Veteran Car run.
We left Charlie's at 07.30 for Clayton Hill for tea and coffee, plus a bacon sandwich provided by Tom which was greatly appreciated by the 10 marshals, taking life and limb in their hands. The reason that I say this is when you have vintage cars coming up the hill three abreast, they don’t want to stop, so all you must do is get out of the way. It was an excellent day out, and the weather was good; not always the case; my companions for the day said the hill has been a running river on past occasions.
Afterwards, we went to the Jack and Jill pub for a well-earned dinner.
