Although the weather was a little mixed at first on both days, this did not deter shoppers from enjoying the Anglo/Continental Street Market in Devonshire Road, Bexhill. The street was closed to traffic from Parkhurst Road to Marina, so visitors could take their time to enjoy the tempting array of French items on offer, together with the wonderful hand crafted goods, ice cream wrap, fudge, jewellery and many other treats which were on offer from the UK traders.
Bexhill 100 Motoring Club hosts this twice-yearly event, and their members work hard as volunteers all weekend from 5.00am to ensure that the road is free from parked cars, until 7.00pm to make sure the street is ready for general traffic. Bexhill 100 MC members marshalled the event all day and displayed a selection of their classic cars at either end of the market. Lynn would like to thank all the Devonshire Road vehicle users for moving their vehicles by 5am on both days so the stall holders could set up, thank you all.
Also a big thank you to the hard working workers who kept the street clear before during and after the market.
Both traders and shoppers had a great time and Bexhill 100 Motoring Club look forward to repeating the market in September.
