Visit to Little Common School
For the second year, the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club were invited to visit Year One at Little Common School, to give a talk about how Bexhill came to be The Birthplace of British Motor Racing, and the club itself. We were most impressed with just how much the children already know about the history of motor racing in the town.
A few members brought along their cars for the children to see. Dave with his Rover P6, Pat with his Rolls Royce, Julie and Alan with their MGB, and of course Bradley with 'Florence', the Austin A40.
The children walked around the cars, following which a varied question and answer session with the owners took place.
The morning was most enjoyable for all concerned - many thanks to Kelly Wiltshear for organising, and to our members for bringing their cars along.
