Bexhill 100 Classic & Custom Car Show 2015
The 2015 show took place on August Bank Holiday Monday as always at the Polegrove Recreation Ground in Bexhill. and marked the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club's 11th year of hosting the event.
Television personality Mike Brewer set the wheels in motion by officially opening the event at 11:00. Mike spent the whole day chatting to visitors, commentating when selected cars were driven in the display area, and presenting the trophies to the winning cars.
Although the weather wasn’t what we’d hoped for this year, those who attended had a great time and we raised a substantial amount for our chosen charities.
The Best in Show trophy went to Brian Tofts’ 1937 MG VA Tickford
The Best Classic trophy was present to Alan Pegler, for his 1951 Daimler DB18 Special Sports
The Best Commercial Vehicle trophy went to Charlie Rowland for his 1984 US Postal van
The Best Bexhill 100 Club Car trophy went to Steven and Trish Davie’s Volkswagen Camper Van
The Peter Nowak trophy which was donated by Pauline Forward in Peter’s memory, was presented to Penny Eldridge for her 1970 Triumph Herald.
This year’s show was the last one arranged by Tom Mason and Heidi Speck, who had been running it jointly for the past six years. Mike Brewer presented Tom and Heidi with gifts to thank them for all the hard work they had put in over the years.
