Unlike the same time last year, the day of the run dawned bright and cloudless, if somewhat chilly at around - 4C.

A total of 56 members assembled at the De La Warr Pavilion, where apart from the few brave souls who had ventured out in their 'pride and joys' the majority arrived in their daily vehicles due to salt having been recently spread by the gritters and likely to be present for the next couple of months at least.

Following the issue of instructions and directions by Sue H and having been provided with quiz questions, we set off towards this year's mid-run coffee stop, the Sussex Country Gardener at Mark Cross on the A267 Tunbridge Wells road where on arrival, we assembled in the area which had been reserved for Bexhill 100 members.

As it had worked so well last year, our lunch venue was once again the Sackville Bistro carvery on the seafront at Bexhill where following an excellent Sunday lunch, the answers to the quiz were revealed.
