​Around 40 of us gathered at The Wheatsheaf Inn at Little Common for an evening of two of the UK's favourite pastimes - eating fish and chips and playing Bingo, as arranged by Mike and Cherie Bennett.

The food was excellent when considering the number of diners and the time it took for everyone to be served their meal - no complaints there!

​

After the plates had been cleared away, it was time for Mike to step up and operate the rotating Bingo ball cage dispenser thingy and get the games under way, invaluably assisted (and overseen) by Cherie. Mike called the numbers with the 'help' of the players who shouted out some of the names associated with the numbers - who knew that very one of the 90 numbers has a name to go with it? We certainly (and thankfully) didn't that evening.

Three double games - Corners and Full House, so six in all, were played, and the lucky winners gloated while the rest of us grumbled . . .

A really pleasant social and interactive evening was enjoyed by all who attended - well done Mike and Cherie!​
