We went to a fire cadet demonstration at Bexhill fire station on the evening of Wednesday 17th December, where it was great to see some new recruits being put through their paces. From money raised through various endeavours, a number cadets have been able to enter this program. We also learnt that Poppy, a Bexhill cadet we first saw in a 2023 demonstration, is now qualified and has been accepted  as a firefighter at Bexhill fire station - well done Poppy!

 

The fire cadet program is now becoming available at more locations, the latest being started this year at Hastings.

 

It is great to see young folk who are committed to both self-improvement and helping their local communities - long may they and the program continue!
