One again, Sue and Graham did a splendid job when arranging this year's Christmas Dinner, held as in years past at the Bowls Club where on the large flat-screen TV, a virtual log fire added to the ambiance of the nicely-presented room.

The evening was well attended; full marks to all who ensured that the three-course meal we received was excellent, and the service was indeed likewise.

Before the food arrived, Sue handed out two pages of quiz questions, one being general Christmas knowledge and the second concerned seasonal movie. Speaking only for the table upon which this writer was sitting, we did very well on the first page, and hopelessly on the second - oh well, it was fun anyway!

​The evening was rounded off with a raffle, and following another tipple or two, we made our way out into the early December evening which thankfully was drier than it had been upon arrival.
