February club night we had a talk by the Sussex Police and crime Commisioner Katy Bourne.
The club room was almost full, Katy explained how she acheived this role and what her aims were to improve the service.
an indepth look how crimes have changed over the years, one of the major one being cyber crime. Katy explained how a "task force" had now been set up to deal with this type of crime.
The Police budget was next on the agenda how much and where the cost goes and how little it was compared to other services. After a very entertaining and interesting talk Katy invited questions from the members. Dave Chappell opened the question's with one about her office budget which she explained in quite detail we hope Dave? after a few more questions and answers it was the close of her talk. Katy Bourne I thought showed great courage and knowledge doing talks like these and she shows a great passion for her role in her job. A big thank you to Katy and Graham & Sue Dickenson for arranging the evenings entertainment
