Easter Bonnet Parade 2015

Easter Sunday saw the first of our Sea Front Displays. The Easter Bonnet Parade for both Cars, personal Bonnets and best child. The club members started to gather about 9 by The Old Bathing Station hut, the weather at that time was warm and very little wind. Later the sun disappeared and the wind was more blustery, but by 2 the sun came out again and it warmed up a bit. We had approximately 40 cars the majority had Easter Bonnets. There were plenty of people looking at the cars as you can see from the photographs (thanks to the Observer and apparently the Daily Mail advertising with things to do in Sussex). The reports that I heard were what a fantastic day and the best Easter parade yet.  The best car bonnet display and hat went to Ron & Juliette Mansfield and the best child bonnet to Jason  & Holly Smith from Bexhill. A big thank you must go to Stella “The Old Bathing Station” owner for providing us with a hot mug of tea (the hut even had a bonnet).
