As the event was to be held both inside and out and our recent ‘summer’ weather has been somewhat lacking, it was always going to be a matter of luck as to whether the day Heidi and Chris picked for their cream tea in the most pleasant surroundings of Crowhurst Park proved to favourable – thankfully it was.

A wide-ranging selection of member’s vehicles were displayed on the lawn in front of the manor house; an interesting building dating back to the 1600’s which as history shows, served as a base for Canadian troops in advance of the D-Day landings, and at varying times was also a country club and a nursing home for the elderly.

​

A splendid cream tea was enjoyed in the house while outside in the sunshine, live music was provided by The Other Band, both before and after the tea.

Many thanks to Heidi and Chris for organising a most enjoyable afternoon, and to The Other Band for the entertainment.
