Christmas Lights 30th November 2018
Cavalcade and switch on of Christmas Tree

Friday the 30th November was our traditional Cavalcade of club cars that dress up for the occasion and have a trip around the town to the switch of the lights in Bexhill on Sea. There was a problem with the street wires and because of health and safety most of the lights could not be hung up this year. The club cars assembled by the Old Bathing Station along the sea front and at approximately 16.30 for the cavalcade our cars around the town, at the head leading the way around was of course our very own Farther Christmas on his hot rod sleigh. The club cars parked by the Devonshire pub, like past years Farther Christmas was very busy taking lists from the children and handing out sweets. The tree lights were switched on by the Major of Bexhill at approximately 18.00. this event was very well attended by the public with Christmas stalls in the street with rides for the children and a stage with entertainment. The best dressed car was won by Alan and Julie Timms, who were presented the Les Fuller Trophy by the last recipient Pauline Forward.
