This year’s New Days Run was held on the 8th January. As you can see from the photographs this event was very well attended by club members, not sure how many cars turned out, some classics and modern cars (weather not too good in the morning). We left the De La Warr at 8:45 via Ninfield, Hailsham to the A22 heading for Isfield station (The Lavender Line). There was the usual quiz enroute with all clues related to the drive and places that we passed through. Arriving at Isfield Station at approximately 10 were we had a full English breakfast. As there were so many members around 50 the numbers had to be split into two parties, while one party had breakfast the other had a ride on the train and visa versa when they return they had breakfast and the first sitting had the train ride. The cost was only £10, which we all thought was very good value for money (the full English breakfast was excellent). We then set off the return journey via Little Bites Café just off the Polegate around about. The second part of the quiz was completed, a total of 20 questions. We stopped for coffee/tea, the answers to the quiz, the winners were Chris & Heidi, runners up Frances & Charlie. Very many thanks to Dave & Moira Foster, Dave & Sheila Dickens-Smith for organising the run and the quiz. I believe we all had a good day out. Hope the rest of this year’s events/outings will be as enjoyable.
