Bexhill on Sea - The Birthplace of British Motor Racing (1902)
Friday 29th saw Bexhill on Sea Christmas lights switched on. Club cars met at the Old Bathing Station at around 5:30 and we departed along the sea front to pick up Father Christmas and the Mayor outside of Dunselma at 6:00. The parade then procced along Sackville to Western Road to drop off Farther Christmas who was to switch on the lights, at the junction of Devonshire Road. This event was very well attended with lots of children with parents who came to see Farther Christmas. The club was well attended with cars dressed for the occasion. As this was there first years “Light Up Bexhill” organisation they did an excellent job.
